The Case
Client Question: We are doing due diligence for a minority share in an energy distribution company in the “new EU”; Can you provide us an overview on performance and cost structure, in order to assess risks and opportunities?
Approach
Based on the avialable information in the data room, we made an overview of 20 KPI’s to assess performance. The KPI’s covered various metrics (cost, reliability, safety, RAB, per customer, per WMh delivered, per connection). in order to provide a comprehensive picture. The KPI’s were then compared with other CEE peers and with West-European peers.
The Results
Gaps were identified, investigated and quantified. A risk- and opportunity valuation was delivered as input for the final (successful) bid.
